CT REFUND PROCESS

Department of Revenue Services has prided itself on speedy refunds.  Due to the increase in identity theft all bets are off for this year.  They are verifying data before releasing refunds to avoid sending out fraudulent refunds.

IRS ANNOUNCES ERROR IN IP PIN LETTERS

The IRS IP PIN notice dated January 4, 2016 is valid for tax returns filed in 2016.  The notice incorrectly indicates the IP Pin is issued for tax year 2014. The IRS apologizes for the confusion and any inconvenience.

New Standard Mileage Rates Starting January 1, 2016
